Location: Centre Room (Main Level Conference Center) --- Food and beverage is our number expense with a meeting — even before COVID and inflation — yet it is often the last element focused on in the planning process. The cost of food and beverage and the benefits it can provide our attendees — nourishment, health, wellness, employment, community — should propel us to think differently about when, where, how, how much, and what we are serving so that we can create dining experiences that provide justice, equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility (J-E-D-I-A) for all those involved.

Once we have finished “Firing it Up”, we need to celebrate and recognize all our accomplishments with “A Star is Reborn” Celebration! On Thursday, August 4, enjoy a casually elegant evening at TCU Place, Saskatoon’s Arts & Convention Centre, where YOU are the Star! Dress code: Cool Glam. Pack your casually elegant outfit and shoes for this evening. No need to pack your ballgown, tiara or tuxedo (unless you want to!), sundresses, sandals, sports jackets and trousers are all acceptable. It will be hot in Saskatoon at this time of year, so dress like you are attending a summer wedding. Since Saskatoon is a completely walkable city, we’re going to take full advantage of that and enjoy a nice leisurely stroll from each of your hotels to and from the TCU Place for your evening of recognition and fun! The walk is very short, the furthest walk is from the Delta and is a maximum of 15 minutes, with the other hotels only being a short 8 minute walk, but if you feel this is too far for you, UBER or taxis are available. To ensure you can still show off your fancy shoes, there will be a secured shoe valet available at the TCU Place so you can change out of your Vans and Converse and put on your Manolo Blahnik and Louboutin once you get there. Be reborn as a new star this evening and celebrate you and CanSPEP.
